The two outdoor campuses in Sioux Falls and Rapid City provide education about outdoor skills, wildlife, conservation and management practices of South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks to all ages in order to preserve our outdoor heritage.
The Outdoor Campus in Sioux Falls is your portal to a lifetime of outdoor adventures. Through the careful guidance of staff and volunteers, you will find yourself drawn into activities you had never considered: hunting and fishing, cross-country skiing, shooting a bow and arrow, cooking wild game in a Dutch oven, gardening for butterflies, and much more. Classes are offered throughout the year to all ages of students. Parents and family members are also welcome to attend.
The campus in Rapid City is still under construction. Upon completion it will provide outdoor education experiences to youth and adults throughout western South Dakota and serve as the headquarters for the Wildlife Division staff of the western South Dakota region.
